Iain was one of the founding partners of this first generation family office, established by the Fleming family following the sale of Robert Fleming to JP Morgan Chase in 2000. The business comprised an investment management business, an advisory/transaction execution team, and a trust services business. Iain wrote and executed the business plan for the whole family office, and was Chief Operating officer from 2000 to 2003, then after appointing his successor holding senior positions in the group until 2005. After foundation, Iain introduced financial and executive management into the group, and also managed its advisory business, including leading the successful listing of Highland Gold Mining in 2002.
